Today I discovered that in sufficiently muddy conditions you can drift/over steer a tractor around a corner. Ok, it was nothing like these guys on the Hakone Turnpike

But nevertheless pretty good fun

We'll be on Hirunandesu tomorrow, I think the show starts around lunchtime perhaps.

Just in case anyone missed it who wants to see the show it's on Youtube now, not sure how long it will be there.

I caught the show last night- looks like they had fun on the farm. I have been a Matsumoto Akiko fan since she was on Denpashonen in the late 90s. Was her real personality much different?
Your Takeinta-fon was pretty funny. I wanted to get a triangle to ring for dinner like on those old Western movies, but the wife nixed that.
Always like to see people on TV. Mrs. ZN is always such a treat!

I think they all enjoyed themselves filming on the farm and seemed to be having fun. Matsumoto Akiko is quite a friendly person, she was chatting with Mrs N when not filming and seemed genuinely interested in what we were doing with the farm. You might have noticed in some of the scenes she is often holding on to someone, when off camera she is always holding someone yet as soon as she's in front of the camera she becomes this super confidant extrovert and she was the only one willing to actually touch the electric fence (obviously they tested it on an AD first to make sure it wasn't going to permanently harm one of their stars).

The takeinta-fon has been quite useful but I reckon a lunch/dinner cowboy triangle would probably be heard for longer distances and be more fun to ring :)

This one is from a couple of years ago now when we were on Asahi Tv's Super J Channel news slot. I'm working on getting the ZeniGata Kintaro episode chopped down from it original 3 hours and will post that when it's been uploaded.

Was at the Chiba city Sangyou (sp ?) Matsuri yesterday and saw this colourful character

He had obviously put a lot of time and effort into that bike.

There was even quite a nice sunset over the giant LPG tanks and other assorted industrial landscape.

Time to revive this thread.

Spent the last couple of days taking down a couple of vinyl houses that were no longer wanted by the owner and then yesterday loaded them onto a truck in the pouring rain to transport all the poles and pipes back to ours.

Going to spend the next few days cleaning any little spots of rust off and painting those parts with rust proof paint. This will dramatically increase our winter production and should give us a lot more stability if we get any more dreadful summers like last year's one.

Finally got around to moving the little maki stove in our packing and tool shed from out of the corner it was originally installed to and into a more sensible central position where it can spread the heat more effectively.

Image

So spent a fun day yesterday with one of our staff packing vegetables for the farmer's market this weekend and cooking yaki imo and making endless pots of coffee. And it seems we weren't the only ones to enjoy the stove.
