Im kinda tempted to throw out a bunch of daikon seeds, leave the fence down for the winter, and let the inoshishi and saru be my tractors, but I don't think the neighbors would appreciate the invitation.... 😂 I guess they would probably end up compacting the soil more than tilling it though...

Making connections with other farmers practicing a style you are interested in is probably the most import thing of all, particularly in the area you will be working. Their advice and tips will be invaluable and if you can get seeds for some local varieties that are suited to your particular location then that's even better.
