Great yunbo work Ian,
You've certainly put in a lot of really nice trees recently that will make a big change to the land's old character (single species plantation). Momiji are so nice to look at, we've dotted them around our own land to break up the surrounding sugi and hinoki forest and also to provide some shade for the house in summer, although ours are a lot smaller than yours and only needed a shovel to plant
Mrs N asked if you was sending the pink yunbo

Nice concept, I am sure it will be a great success. Looking forward to seeing it finished and up and running.
Cheers

Gotta love the completely overloaded kei truck with trees leaning this way and that and your yunbo watering method, absolutely priceless man

This is amazing Ian!
I have been reading about your place for a while now, and I just realized- I don't know what you are planning for it...
Is it a business venture like a campground or activity park? Or is it just for your personal use?
At any rate- I love reading about it, keep the pictures coming!

ZN - Another pic of what I think is our record for moving one tree.
Eric - We are going in the pick and eat plus camping direction. But for now it is just personal use.
Yesterday our friend set up four beehives for Japanese bees. Didn't get any last year, hopefully this year and it was nice to see a few bees flying around too.

Re: What we are up to at our property……..
A week ago Japanese bees took up residence in one of four hives our friend has at the land.
Last month he put some attractant by the entrance (can see it in the pic), I think developed by Kyoto University.
