All safe and sound over this way. No major damage by the looks of it and power remained on the whole night.
This time most of the rain seemed to be on the left hand side of the typhoon rather than the eastern side.Mind you the earthquake in the middle of the night was an unpleasant surprise
Lost power (only just got it back now) and the hill next to our road collapsed.
Got off light compared to the farm i was working on, it got wiped out by the river next to it. Pretty much all the houses are either broken or filled with dirt and debris. Such a shame.
We got by with just a few broken tiles on the roof. The roof was due to be repaired next week so not the worst thing in the world. Was concerned about the nearby rivers but the elevated banks and dams seem to have managed okay.
Glad to hear no major issues here....we are away from our house in Nagano, but hear it is fine. Here in southern Kyoto prefecture just a bunch of rain and full rivers.
