I don't know of any groups but perhaps if you contact the prefectural governments they probably would know of any groups in their area.

Well that's a massive relief, two typhoons in the same weekend would have been a bit too much. Let's hope that's it for this year

Hope everyone up in Fukushima and Ibaraki is ok tonight. We've had some really intense rain here through the day and many rivers around us are overflowing now and there have been quite a few landslides around Chiba today.

We had a VERY windy night with lots of rain. Pretty close to typhoon levels although it wasn't officially one.
Everybody stay safe.

We had heaps of rain and wind, some areas in our city were on alert for landslides, but our area was okay.

Another landslide has cut us off from (the short route) town. Back to driving 5Km in the wrong direction to get to work.

Hopefully this time they can fix it in less than the ONE YEAR it took them last time...

@Ibaraki llama and @Eric in Japan , glad you guys are ok. That's a pretty inconvenient diversion to have to do every morning, hope they get it fixed quickly or some publicly spirited neighbour with a yunbo clears a path.
