I wonder if they'll ever bring Strontium Dog to the big screen ? The only problem with these Hollywood adaptions is they can so easily go horribly wrong a la Ghost in The Shell but if done well then they can be very good.
I heard that the two dudes who own Rebellion who own 2000AD now are very strict with the handling of their characters. In the licensing agreements they stipulate what can or can't be done (Dredd without his helmet is a no no, Rogue Trooper has to be blue etc).
A Strontium Dog film would be pretty awesome. Maybe they'll make a series of it if Mega City One does well

That's reassuring to hear 2000AD is in safe hands and isn't going to be bastardised to cash in, it's not like the Kingsley brothers are short of cash and they have a fairly solid reputation.
Robert Heinlein always was quite preachy in his books and his politics seemed quite right wing dressed up in libertarianism. Maybe give The Forever War by Joe Haldeman a go as it takes the opposite view that war is not glorious. It's a bit dated now but still a good read.
I have Forever War on my to read list as it did look interesting, I was working my way through those SF masterworks books years ago but just haven't got round to it.
I demand more time in the day, or at least a device to stop time somehow.
Continuing with the theme of fighting bugs is Armor by John Steakley but without any sort of political message that the previous two have, I've read it through a couple of times and it's an enjoyable read.
Finding some time in my life for reading after a long while. Just finished Circle by Dave Eggers. Reading Peaceful Parent, Happy Kids; Feeling Good; Martha Quest. I was making good progress on the Wheel of Time series but ran out of steam at book 9 or so a year ago. I'd like to finish them but sometimes it's a slog.

I got to book 3 then gave up, just felt like most of the story was just filler.
Strange that story was meant to be a trilogy to begin with until he kept adding stuff to it.
