Delicious Finds

Warning, this thread is not going to be devoted to the 100% healthy, nor will it always be cheap and nasty.

Often we come across something in a supermarket or online that we LOVE and then all too soon the object of our delight is gone, never to return.
Like Ben and Jerry's Icecream that was briefly available in Konbini around the country and then disappeared before we had the chance to wipe the Cherry Garcia off our fat faces.

A lot of my finds are going to be Gyoumu Super centric with the odd A-Price and DonQuixote items.
There might be other sources but those are our three go-to's more often than not.

Feel free to add your finds and favorites.

This week's deliciousness is brought to you from Gyoumu Super

Fynbo Cherry Filling 800g for 398yen. (from Denmark)
Jam packed (pun intended) with whole and slightly smooshed cherries.
Not too sweet. Amazing on yoghurt and icecream.
They also have Apple filling, same price. We bought but have not yet tested.
Pies and pastries will be attempted once I get over my initial OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Another Gyomu Super find here,

As we were talking about sources for good meat and sausages in another thread I remembered good old fashioned Gyomu Super proper sausages and Baked Beans.

Obviously I'll be saving the beans for when we are no longer on the strict part of the low carb diet, either that or ration myself to one a day with me sausage and bacon.

ooo, guess who will be getting them then.
I suppose I could make sausage rolls with them if I squeezed their innards out.
I do love a proper sausage roll and dressing a schau essen in pastry, while not a bad snack, does not cut the mustard.

Dearest Gyoumu Super also sells Thai coconut milk in 1L cartons.

It is a great source of high fat low carb for those who are following the road less travelled at the moment.
Something to add to lean chicken when making a curry.
Absolutely amazing for breakfast smoothies.
You could also make yourself a fake HaloHalo using coconut milk and nata de coco, splenda for sweetness and a few berries thrown in for taste and colour. (nata de coco has ZERO carbs btw)

Canned coconut milk is actually not good for you because of BPA leeching, but this comes in a paper carton like long life milk.

Bangers aquired and in the freezer. Will report back after they have been partaken of.
Tonight is KFC time and a scary movie.

They go well with mash, gravy, a serving of fried onions and a couple of fried eggs
