It's our 4th night in Japan. 1st night sukiyaki , 2nd onabe , 3rd oden and tonight yaki tori you've got to love winter food in Japan l feel like a tourist.

Okonomiyaki also makes a good wintry meal, there is something deeply satisfying about cooking your food actually at the dinner table.

I love okonomiyaki.

Talking about eating at the table, last week we had a massive gyouza night.
We sat down and made 100 gyouza at the kitchen table then moved on to the tatami room where we proceeded to unsuccessfully make great inroads into them.
Doggy bags were given out and the next day we still had enough for lunch for Senor Gonbe and I.
