Visit Italy for "research". I'm sure Zasso could claim it as a business expense!

Researching Italian farming techniques would probably be fine with the tax officeIbaraki llama wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2019 9:04 pmVisit Italy for "research". I'm sure Zasso could claim it as a business expense!
Re: Post your country pictures!
Hi everyone! It's my turn
We bought this abandoned property and started renovation 1 year and a half ago. We kept the main structure and the concrete foundation. Still the work is in progress, so, as you can see from the picture, is an incomplete low-budget modern house (we were dreaming to live in a kominka but, as japanese people say, shouganai)
In these pictures, the view from our balcony (and yesterday's Rainbow)

Looks great Vanilla. Having such a big space to shape how you want is a great opportunity, do you have a plan for it or will you see what happens as your work the land ?
Your goats look really happy foraging around
Do you keep them tethered or just let them go where they please ?

Yeah, it's really a nice place to live. So quiet and peaceful ^_^Zasso Nouka wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 6:48 amLooks great Vanilla. Having such a big space to shape how you want is a great opportunity, do you have a plan for it or will you see what happens as your work the land ?

We were looking for this size of land cause we aim, as much as we can (still we need to buy a tractor), grow forage and food for our animals and for us. Plus we are raising pastured chicken that need a lot of grass and fresh air
Our goats right now are free to go where they want. Only our buck need to be tethered

That's great that your animals have so much space to roam around in, so much better than the experience of so many farm animals in Japan. We've certainly found with our eggs that there are customers willing to pay a premium for free range eggs.

So I'm attempting to build a log cabin waaaay out in the mountains of Niigata...
Behold, a river than is yet untouched by concrete
...and my lil bit of 'merica I bring with me each time

I took those pics from a lookout point just down the street at the local natural spring fill up point. There are two dams waaaay upriver and a natural onsen that is a hike up beyond the main damn but I've been too busy trying to build to really enjoy the area other than the scenery.
