Hello from Ibaraki
Hello from Ibaraki
Hello all, I live in Ushiku-Shi in Ibaraki. Been gardening here in Japan since the late 90s. On my days off I enjoy cycling and gardening. Only ever lived in Ibaraki and my wife’s family are mostly farmers around Hokota area. Enjoy.

Welcome, I’m just down the road in Tsukubamirai-shi. Where do you cycle? I’ve rented bikes and cycled the tsukuba ring-ring road and parts of lake kasumigaura, and now that I’ve got a bigger place to store a bike I’m about to buy one.
Re: Hello from Ibaraki
I try to do 30 to 60km each ride. I usually ride around: Ushiku, Tsuchiura, Tsukuba, Ryugasaki, Toride, Ami, etc. always look for a place to eat at least 10km away from my house. Thai, Indian, Sri Lankan, Ramen.

Hi UshikuDan and welcome to Japan Simple Life, thank you so much for signing up we really do appreciate you taking the time to join.
Sorry for posting a link back here publicly on your feed, I felt that was almost like spamming you but I don't have the app installed anymore on my mobile so can't send messages.
Sounds like you enjoy some pretty epic bike rides, we brought our bikes over from London and used to cycle around when living in Kamisu as even minor roads there are wide enough that you don't feel threatened by passing cars.
Do you have any recommendations for good Sri Lankan restaurants ? It's been quite a while since I've eaten any Sri Lankan food.
