Had a thread on the old forum so starting new one here.
Heading back up north leaving Kyushu around 18th to 20th. Still undecided on route but passing through Hiroshima Tottori Kobe Hyogo Gunma and then not sure. Happy to catch up with anyone on the way past. Dont need accommodation as self sufficient. pm me to catch up.
Kyushu to Iwate or Hokkaido.

Who has a favorite must see or visit place they can recommend? For me it's always a toss up between Tottori sand dunes and Miyajima although both getting a bit commercialized.

If you will be trundling along the northern shore of Honshu, then Chorakuji Temple in northern Hyogo is a rather nice place to visit.
It is a newish temple and in the middle of absolutely nowhere, but it is stunning.

G, thanks. Will check it out on the way through.
The car has been ready and packed for 3 days but still waiting for a break in the weather to finish a few outside jobs. Might have to give the jobs a miss as need to be Tohoku by 27th.

It may be base and it may be shallow but I've been wanting to visit Sasebo and try the burgers there. Maybe if you can't make the karage last till Chiba you could grab a few take outs and bring them with you CYEK ?CYEK wrote:Who has a favorite must see or visit place they can recommend?
