I've searched through past threads and have also looked a bit on the internet but have been unable to find any websites within Japan that offer commercial mushroom spores. All I can find are a few DIY home project kits on rakuten.
Are there any sites within Japan that offer a variety of spores and ready made inoculation syringes?
Looking for
-Pleurotus eryngii
-Grifola frondosa
-Hericium erinaceus
-Ganoderma lingzhi
There are plenty of foreign sites that have these strains for sale but I'm betting that customs are a bit stringent on what cultures and plant matter can be imported. Has anyone imported spores with success in the past or can offer any in-country suppliers?
Many thanks

Mushroom spores for sale?
I've imported spores from fungi.com and plant protection services really weren't happy. Back then we had to write a letter of apology and promise that never ever would we try to attempt such a thing again. Now you can face several years in jail (which will affect visa renewal if you haven't naturalised) and you can be hit with a fine that is seriously eye watering. Personally I wouldn't risk it but if you are feeling specially lucky it's up to you.
Pleurotus eryngii are commonly available in supermarkets here so why not contact a local mushroom farm and ask them where they source their spores.
