Cheap or free Chickens

Post by gonbechan » Fri Oct 25, 2019 7:13 pm

After having a conversation with Zassou about the fate of unsold home center pets, I went down a rabbit (chicken) hole on one of the re-homing sites and found a chicken section and a duck section. Not all of them are free, not all are cheap (people claim expenses) but it is definitely worth a look, I think.

I daren't show Mrs Nouka the mini pigs or we would be running a pig sanctuary in no time.

There are some seriously rare and unusual animals in there, chameleons, flying squirrels and a host of other creatures I didn't know you could keep as pets.

I want some ducks. I need some ducks!

Previous colleague I worked with had a flying Squirrel as a pet, looked super cute and she said they are easy to look after but obviously a big cage is needed. I'd love a squirrel, i'm sure my cats would to which is probably why that dream will never come to be :(
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

It would have to be a seriously big cage  I was wondering if a flying squirrel might be too big for cats to attempt and have it running free indoors, would be pretty cool to have it swooping around the house.

I recently read an article about the myth of "mini" pigs. Not sure where it is, but here's PETA's take on it:

In short, there's actually no such thing. So buyer beware!
