Interesting 'Recylce' Items

Post by Savot »

Given demographics/culture, Japan seems to be awash with a lot of great deals for those of us who don't mind pre-loved items.

I thought it might be helpful to create a thread where we can post items of interest from our local op shop, or request that others keep an eye out for certain items. To start here are a few things that piqued my interest today.

Mini excavator for 68 man:

Various generators for 1 or 2 man each:

Monstrously large tilling machine (?) for 13 man:

And ... full suit of samurai armour for the paltry sum of 150 man:

PM me if you want more details on any of these.

In terms of requests, I would really appreciate it if anyone could let me know if they come across a partner's desk (or has any idea where I could source one). Something like this would be ideal:

Sounds like a good idea for a thread. Mini excavator and generators sound like good prices. I have one of those giant tilling machine. I think I bought it for 10man and that was about 8yrs ago. If you're going to be moving any dirt or wood/brush, I highly recommend a top car. I like them so much I have 2. One is so old, it's diesel and it has a hand crank to start it! Each were bought for 5man, my neighbour said I paid too much but for me, I think there were the best priced items I have ever bought in Japan.

A small generator is a good investment, handy for an emergency. Crawlers are also super useful if you have a large plot of land and want to move heavy stuff about and they last for ages.
I write a load of bollocks, don't take me seriously.

Thanks! Looks like that desk sold quickly, but this place has a lot great stuff. I'm very tempted to take a trip down south for this:

Just need to find somewhere to put it!
